A CUSTOMER IMPORT

From a Toyota bZ3X shortlist to a brand-new Kia EV5

A 2024 Kia EV5 Air, imported brand-new for a client and arriving around April 2026. The deciding factor was the software they would use every day.

The original choice

A client approached me wanting to import a brand-new Toyota bZ3X. As we discussed the options, one concern stood out: the software.

The Chinese-market bZ3X we were considering had a Chinese-language system. An English replacement was available, but I wasn’t confident enough in that solution to recommend it to my client.

Why I recommended the EV5

I strongly suggested the Kia EV5 instead. The 2024 Air version we selected supported English natively and had Apple CarPlay, giving the customer the features they wanted without relying on a replacement system.

This was a recommendation about the specific vehicles and software options we were considering, not a claim that every bZ3X or EV5 has the same software or features.

A choice they were happy with

The client agreed, and I helped them import the EV5 brand-new. It arrived around April 2026, and they were very happy with the choice.

For me, sourcing a car means looking beyond the price and specifications. The software you use every day matters too, and sometimes the best advice is to recommend a different model.
